Today, i am going to clear all your doubts in this article about POCO and Xiaomi related matters like MIUI 12 updates, Patch updates, POCO Launcher 3.0, MIUI 13 and POCO updates.

Q. Why MIUI 12 drains so much battery as compare to MIUI 11?

A. Simple, MIUI 12 resources are heavy compared to MIUI 11 and contains many bugs and isn't optimized as well. Recently, my POCO M2 PRO received November Patch update and the battery backup has been increased by 15% as i told in my last article.

So, until Xiaomi doesn't release patch update for optimizations and bugs, the battery consumption would be little high.

The patch would be provided probably by early 2021.

Q. How can i reduce my battery consumption until a patch fix doesn't come?

A. To reduce Battery consumption on MIUI 12, follow these steps:

1. Uninstall unusual apps. (Important).
2. Go to settings->battery&performance->App battery saver->Now select every apps which aren't much usual everytime and select "Restrict background activity".
3. Turn off MI Find my Device from MI Account in settings if you use Google Find my Device.
4. Use Auto-Brightness mostly.
5. Use Dark mode at night time.
6. Use Phone's stock wallpapers.
7. Go to settings->battery&performance->click on optimize every 2-3 times to keep the battery running smoothly without any extra battery consumption.
8. Try to use most of the stock apps instead of downloading same features app seperately.
9. Go to settings->battery&performance->settings icon at left->and set clear cache time to 30minutes.
10. Go to settings->apps-permissions->autostart->click on three dots and click on show system apps->and turn off autostart for those applications which you don't want to be turned on automatically after your device starts to avoid consuming battery from starting.
11. Stop using Wallpaper Carousel. Go to settings->Lock screenscreen->Glance for Mi and then turn it off.
12. Go to settings->privacy protection->special permission->battery optimization->click on each application and click on Optimize option and click on done. (Repeat this step after every reboot).
13. Go go settings->privacy protection->special permission->device admin apps->and then turn off access for apps that aren't in use.
14. If you don't use some apps that you know that it consumes battery in background then open it's app info by holding it and clicking on (i) button then swipe down, and select restrict data usage and remove tick from both Wi-Fi and Mobile data.

Q. Will POCO F1 get MIUI 13?

A. Sadly, it will not get MIUI 13 update.

Q. How can i join BETA testing for Android updates on MIUI?

A. There is no such option specially for POCO devices. But there is an option through which you can receive updates faster than other people when they released.

To get it fastly, go to settings-＞about phone-＞click on MIUI version icon at top left-＞click on three dots at top right-＞settings-＞at others section-＞turn on Receive updates early and then you‘ll get System updates little bit faster than other peoples.

Try “ Miuirex “ app. It‘s available on PlayStore. But i don‘t recommend trying BETA ROMs on your device. It‘s specially meant for developers and high end tech users.

Also, don't go through flashing ROM available on YT tutorials, they are unsafe if you are not an expert.
But Global Official ROM on Xiaomi Global Community is still a good option but still you need experience for that.

Q. Why POCO devices get delayed updates?

A. I agree that POCO devices getting delayed updates of patches and it is most probably due to their ongoing issues of being an independent brand and also the more time they take, the more better patch with more fixes they provide. And you get quick monthly patch updates in future soon.

In the recent November patch update on POCO M2 PRO which came little bit delayed after 2 months, the bootloop bug has been fixed and the battery consumption has reduced so much and now i am getting 15% extra backup than before. So, it‘s worth to wait for updates sometime.

Q. When will POCO X3 get optimization update?

A. Most probably with MIUI 12.5 update or if lucky with December Patch update.

It will remove bugs and optimize the MIUI for reduce battery consumption and increased performance.

Q. Will POCO F1 get MIUI 12.5 update?

A. Yes, POCO F1 will get MIUI 12.5 update.

Q. Will POCO F1 get Android 11 update?

A. Yes, it may get Android 11 update by early 2021 but chance is less.

Actually, it's still not confirmed whether Xiaomi will release Android 11 for POCO F1 or not as it already got two major OS Updates which Xiaomi always promises to give and if Android 11 come, it will like a bonus for F1 users.

I wanted to edit the article after when i realised that it needs editing in this question and also wanted to add some more but there is no option to add or edit the article.

But in recent update, Many users are requesting for Android 11 update for F1 as it is a very good device and has flagship hardwares to handle Android 11 OS too and there are also chances if Xiaomi is thinking to release, it will release by early 2021 in February.

Q. When POCO M2 get Android MIUI 12 and Android 11 update?

A. As of 04/January/2020, MIUI 12 updates are rolling out and will reach to you by next week mostly.

Yes, it will get Android 11 update by last week of February 2021 most probably.

Q. POCO M2 PRO and X2 Android 11 date?

A. POCO X2 beta testing of A11 completed. Soon it will start getting updates.

M2 PRO will get by early 2021 most probably.

Random fact: POCO now comes in top 5 MOBILE Brands in INDIA by just their 2 years hardwork.

Q. Will POCO F2 release in India.
A. POCO F1 released in India and got so much popularity and so we can expect POCO F2 release by Early 2021 and it would be a mid-range smartphone.

Q. Which is better POCO X2 or POCO M2 PRO?

A. Both are awesome devices according to their price. If you are concerned about Battery backup and a budget device in 15k, then go for M2 PRO.
But if you can increase your budget by 1k, go for POCO X2, it has slightly little less battery and slower chrager than M2 PRO but charging time is nearly same and you get high quality camera as it has Sony IMX 686 sensor which captures more light even in dim conditions and with large pixels.
Also you get 120hz display which could be not too much useful if you aren't pretty concerned about competitive gaming as 120hz display consume battery fastly.

Q. Which one should i buy POCO X3 or POCO X2?
A. Both are approximately same. POCO X3 is just an upgraded version of POCO X3.
X3 has Snapdragon 732G processor which has slightly improved performance compare to X2.
The thing i don't liked in X3 is it's back side doesn't have any Gorilla glass, instead there is plastic back in X3. So if you are little caring about look and feel and with reduce budget, go for X2 freely.
Both are equal in camera capabilities.
X3 has 6000mAh battery while X2 has 4500mAh.
It has 33 watt charger but doesn't make much difference.

Q. When POCO is now independent, why still using Xiaomi MIUI and service centres?
A. Just like Google made Android OS and mobile manufacturers use it after customizing it a little bit, same like POCO uses Xiaomi MIUI after little customization to make it secure and more reliable. And that's the reason that there are very less ads and on POCO phones.
You can even see and restrict permissions in Privacy Protection section in phone's settings if you are on latest MIUI right now.

Q. Why Security app still using Cleaner banned in India and Security scan services?
A. It's clearly clarified by POCO Team that it's not the same Cleaned from Cheetah Mobile and after the recent update, there is no where which technology they use.
But it's sure that they don't use that banned app technology otherwise Google Play services will clash everytime with phone services you use it.

Currently my Security Scan is using Avast (Award Winning) Antivirus definitions for threat and viruses scan and that Anti Virus has also cleaner function too (Download it from Google PlayStore and check), so most probably the Cleaner is using Avast Cleanup technology for this function.

Q. Will POCO M2 get MIUI 13?
A. Yes, it will get MIUI 13 update.

Q. When will POCO Launcher 3.0 update come?
A. The testing is going on and it is expected that it will come after MIUI 12.5 update.

If not, it will be provided with MIUI 13 with overall improvement, optimizations, features, animations, Android 10 gestures and smoothness but we can't expect that it will release before March 2021.

Q. Why Fingerprint sensor not working after update?
A. Make sure the Fingerprint recognition method is set to "Touch" mode.
To do this, go to settings->passwords&security->fingerprint->fingerprint recognition method->set to Touch mode.

Q. When will M3 release in India?
A. It is expected to release on 13 January, 2021

Q. What included in latest November Patch update on POCO M2 PRO:
A. 2 features and 5 improvements.
Biggest thing that the reboot loop bug with Find my device has been fixed and improved battery life.
